Lil E's first review: Dadoo Kid's "Awe.Some. Helicopterrrr kid shirt"

The words were barely out of my mouth before he was nodding so hard that his shaggy hair was flopping down over his lit-up eyes and little pink ears.
I told him that a t-shirt was on its way to the Sassafam house. For him to review. And I asked if he'd be willing to wear it and give an honest opinion about how it looks and feels and works for a kiddo his age. He didn't have to say a thing (a rarity) for me to know he was in. Let's be honest, it could have only been a better offer if it was
a) anything Star Wars
b) anything Lego Star Wars
#3) "fancy mommy stuff" from Forever 21.
Moving on...
Then with only a few more words, I sweetened the deal even more. He was temporarily stunned, would have squealed like one of his princess-loving 5-year old lady-friends if he could have willed himself to. It was almost as if a million candy dinosaur sprinkles rained down upon him or I lifted the ban on potty talk anywhere other than the potty.
"And then," I said slowly, "I will do a photo shoot of you in the shirt."
Oh yes, he was in. He was so in.
The shirt is by Dadoo Kids, a company committed to making playful, modern clothes in organic cotton and bamboo blends. Christine Miller Kelly, the mom of two little ones who is running the brand new Dadoo, sent on the tee that arrived in sweet and careful packaging only a few days later.
Lil E was ecstatic to get the helicopter tee, which he said was "SO. COOL." He saved it "for special" to wear on vacation. Here's what he had to say about it:
"It's like awesome. It feels soft. Plus, the colors are cool. I like the helicopter part. It's pretty much my new favorite cool shirt. Well...except for my Star Wars shirt. Oh, and my Lego Star Wars shirt. But after that...YEAH! It's AWE.SOME."
There aren't tons of products on the site and I did ooh over the girly tees and sweet little dress. But as the mama, I loved that the emphasis is on boy clothes and that the designs include sharks and blowfish and butterflies. Honestly, the fabric is so soft, it really does make snuggling this wiggly kid even better (if you can imagine that).
Not sure you want to invest in an organic tee (this is not Target pricing, friends). Lucky for you, Christine knows that mamas (and papas) deserve good deals and is offering a Dadoo discount code just for Sassafrass readers (that's you).
Use the promo code SASSAFRASS20 to get 20% off. Pass that on to all your helicopter, awe.some, cool shirt-lovin' friends.
Full disclosure: Dadoo sent the Sassafam this complimentary tee. The cost to you (before the discount) is $38 (and...heyyy, math....$30.40 with the code). The opinions given are honest and real (you can't make that kid stuff up).
