A little early Valentine's lovin' from Lil E
Thursday, February 12, 2009 Lil E came home from a night with his dad, full of stories and excitement and proudly carrying a gift bag decorated with hearts. He had specific instructions of the whens and hows to open it and we sat together on the couch while I carefully unwrapped each little bit.
This is one thing Lil E's dad is good. He's good at guiding the boy to get gifts, wrap them up and send them home on time and with care. I appreciate it. And the light coming off of Lil E's eyes makes me even more thankful.
Even better than all that is that Lil E is actually really good at choosing gifts. He is very clear on what he wants to get and how it should be given, and he is always just so right on. Tonight, his dad took him to the shop and told him to pick out a tee and what to put on it. Here's what my boy chose, and what got him a thousand mommy kisses on the cheeks and chin and lips still in a proud smile.
This, friends, is what it's all about. But you already knew that.
