Another view from my desk

Remember how I said I love the stillness of the snow, how I love to look out over my laptop and see the trees lined perfectly with whiteness? Well, here is what I'm seeing today. And as lovely as it looks, I am dreaming of cleared balcony, blinding sunshine and my flip flops kicked off, feet propped up and the loud sounds of summer ringing around me.

This winter already feels a bezillion months long. Thank goodness my parents will soon head to Florida and we will follow them there a few weeks after that for just a few days. Just a few days, but so much to look forward to every time I bundle up, scrape the ice off the windshield wipers and slide down the street in the car. Until then, I think I need more coffee. Or maybe a nice, long nap. Maybe a nap, then coffee. And then a shovel. Clearly, I need a really good shovel.

Yikes, way too much snow for me! January and February are the best months to come to Phoenix for a visit since the rest of the country is dealing with snow, ice, wind, etc. ;)

Amen!!! Is it crazy cold there today as well? The sun is shining beautifully here, but the wind chill is -30!! No school no school, pj day!!
